CASSA Role

The CASSA Board is looking for mature students to work as assistants in the Music, Drama, Movement and Art Camp, the PlayWriting Camp and the Musical Theatre Showtime, in exchange for tuition to attend any one of the CASSA camps.

Interested participants must apply by letter for the Grant-in-Aid Scholarship before May 1, 2008. (The letter should accompany the registration form along with a $25 nonrefundable deposit.) Decisions will be made by the Board and recipients will be notified as soon as possible. Bursaries are also available for all CASSA programs. Written requests expressing financial need and a $25 registration fee must accompany the registration form.

CASSA Sponsor-a-Student Program

Each year many of the participants in our various programs ask for financial help. Your tax-deductible contribution to the CASSA Sponsor-a-Student program will allow a student or students to attend a CASSA program. The student's registration fee as shown here covers approximately 50% of the actual cost for their participation.

  • Musical Theatre Showtime at $325 each

  • Violin Pedagogy Workshop at $275 each

A donation of any amount for any program, as a contribution to our general revenue fund or to the Marissa Staddon Memorial Scholarship Fund or to the Irina Ginzburg Memorial Scholarship, will be gratefully accepted. Your name will be included on our list of donors on performance and recital programs and you will receive a tax-deductable receipt.

Your kind contribution will enhance the ongoing education of music and arts students in a professional and nurturing environment. Make cheques payable to the Calgary Arts Summer School Association and send to 228 Parkside Way SE, Calgary, AB CANADA T2J 3Z4.

Volunteers

We rely on volunteers for most of our work. Without them it would be difficult, if not impossible, to present workshops and projects of this calibre to students in our city. (Thanks Volunteers!) CASSA is a member of Volunteer Canada.

Much Thanks

We would not be where we are today without all of the help that we have received throughout the years; therefore, we would like to thank the following sponsors:

St. John's Music Ltd.

Irene Besse Keyboards

Bowness High School

Alberta Registered Music Teachers' Association

First Calgary Savings
